This lookbook is presented mostly without comment, except for little moans of longing.
Okay, a little more comment: Maraki Intimates is based in Australia, the official launch is supposed to happen soon, bras will be available in sizes 8-14 D-G (30-36 D-G UK) in prices ranging from AUD$109-130 (about $85-105 in USD), knickers are available in three different rises (high, medium, and low) in prices ranging from AUD$85-130 (about USD$65-105), and I would like one of everything, starting with the Double Paramount Longline Bra and a pair of the Paramount Suspender Middies, please. It’s all really good, y’all, and these jaw-dropping images are making me seriously reconsider my no-more-bra-buying-for-a-few-months resolution.
I’m pretty dazzled by the flawless mix of strapping, sheer mesh, colorblocking, polka dots, and that staggeringly pretty, almost stained-glass-looking, print. The collection features a mashup of some of the most popular lingerie trends over the last few seasons, remixed and recombined in creative ways to create a distinctive new look. The way the strapping is used to highlight, conceal, and reveal different parts of the body is gorgeous: architectural and delicate all at the same time. It’s a ground-breaking, fashion-forward new voice for D+ sizes. I haven’t seen a debut collection from a full-bust brand that wowed me like this since Sunday Intimates (RIP), and I’m crossing all my fingers and toes that Maraki Intimates will make it into production and into a few more seasons. What do you think of “All Hot Air”?
