Happy Friday, all! I’ve had a very busy week at work and The Most Dramatic Illness of All Time (I have a cold, and WOE the suffering), but there have been some really great articles hitting the web this week that I loved reading, and I hope you will too!
First of all, we need to talk about Harlow & Fox! A true luxury brand, Harlow & Fox features bras, knickers and nightwear in sizes 30-38 D-G and XS-XL in the most stunningly lovely silk and lace imaginable. Their e-commerce site launched this week, and ohhhh it’s so gorgeous. There’s even a floofy robe! Miss Underpinnings met with the designer earlier this year, and today she shares an exclusive discount code on all purchases from the site. Check out her blog for more details. Between the robe, the longline bra, and the high waist French knicker, I’m hard pressed to pick my favorite piece.

“Eleanor” Almond Robe, Suspender, Bra, and Classic Brief by Harlow & Fox. A high-waist French Knicker is also available.\
Speaking of pretty, The Lingerie Lesbian shared a lookbook from fantastic independent corsetiere who specializes in 16th-18th stays. We tend to associate the word “corset” with the 19th century exclusively, but Charlotte Raine Corsetry introduces some serious style and color sense into silhouettes I previously thought were exclusive to costume dramas. My favorites have to be the Antoinette (below) and the Henrietta; check out her post for more beautiful lookbook images!
Butterfly Collection Lingerie, one of my favorite resources for helpful and compassionate bra fit advice, have opened their holiday shop! Featuring the adorable chinchilla and tomato soup colorways for Claudette’s “Dessous” range, adorable purple polka dots from Parfait’s “Celine” camisole, and a fantastic assortment of Pretty Polly hosiery, my favorite selections are a tie between Claudette’s pink “Fishnet” range and the beautiful “Ginger Macaroon” nursing chemise by Cake Lingerie.
Erica Windle, owner of A Sophisticated Pair, wrote a great guest post for The Lingerie Addict about her experiences as a small business owner. I know I talk a lot about lingerie from the perspective of a consumer, and it’s so wonderful to hear what “a day in the life” of a lingerie boutique owner is like, with all of its attendant ups and downs.
Happy reading everyone, and I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
xoxo,
Sweets
